Nine holes are open, and now construction has started on the clubhouse at the TPC Treviso Bay.
Designed to tournament-hosting requirements, the 58,000 square foot clubhouse will serve as the centerpiece to the 7,367-yard championship layout created by golf course architect Arthur Hills, with PGA Championship and Ryder Cup Captain Hal Sutton serving as player consultant.
“We are very pleased to announce that DeAngelis Diamond, the general contractor for construction of the clubhouse, has fully mobilized and initiated vertical construction of this magnificent facility,” said Sanjay Kuttemperoor of VK Development in a press release. “We expect construction to continue over the next 20 to 22 months with the opening projected for fall of 2010.”
When completed, the clubhouse will feature men’s and women’s locker rooms, a private wine room and Board Room, player lounges, a 350-seat banquet and private event space, a recreation room and a special Champions Room for PGA Tour players.
The front nine is currently open for member play. Grassing of the back nine will be completed by mid-June and the entire golf course is scheduled to open for play in November.
Invitation to membership at TPC Treviso Bay is exclusive to residents of the Treviso Bay community.
